Wakehurst FC Summer Football – 2025/26 Competition

Wakehurst FC is excited to launch our enhanced 2025 Summer Football Competition, featuring more teams and expanded Monday and Tuesday game options.

We’re pleased to offer an enhanced competition experience, with all games played exclusively on synthetic pitches to ensure top-quality playing surfaces.

Season Dates

• 13th/14th October 2025 – Season begins
• 15th/16th December 2025 – Last round before the summer break
• 2nd/3rd February 2026 – Season resumes
• 9th/10th March 2026 – Final round

Game Format & Venues

• All games are played at Lionel Watts Reserve on synthetic pitches
• 6-a-side format across all age groups
• Games consist of approximately 17-minute halves
• A dynamic draw is generated each week to match teams of similar ability

Game Days by Category

• Monday afternoons/evenings: Mixed Juniors (U6–U16), Senior Men (O35)
• Tuesday afternoons: Junior Women (U6–U16), Senior Women (O35), All Age Women, All Age Mixed

Competition Categories

• Mixed Junior teams (U6–U16) – Monday games
• Junior Women's teams (U6–U16) – Tuesday games

• Senior O35 Men's teams – Monday games
• Senior O35 Women's teams – Tuesday games
• All Age Women – NEW! Tuesday games
• All Age Mixed – NEW! Tuesday games (requires men & women; max. 2 male outfield (excl. GK) players on field)

Registration Fees

Juniors = $210
Seniors = $235

You can apply for your Active Kids Voucher from July 15th at Active Kids Voucher.

Registration Timeline

• 16th June 2025 – Team nominations open via our website
• 16th July 2025 – Priority nomination period ends (see below)
• 30th July 2025 – ALL team nominations close

• 2nd August 2025 – Player registrations open
• 22nd August 2025 – Player registrations close

Team Nomination Process

To submit your team nomination, you must:

• Download and complete the 2025 Team Nomination Form
• List a minimum of 7 players (ideally 8–10) on the form
• Submit your form via email to summer.football@wakehurstfc.com.au
• WFC will acknowledge receipt by return email

Priority Nomination Period

All teams are encouraged to submit their nominations as early as possible to help us plan the competition. In the event of oversubscription, teams with five or more players who either played for Wakehurst in the 2025 winter season or in our 2024 summer competition will receive priority consideration — provided their nomination is submitted by 16 July 2025.

Important Notes

• Wakehurst FC Summer Football does not put teams together. We rely on teams to organise themselves.
• Submitting your team nomination does not guarantee a place in the competition. You will receive email confirmation once this has been determined.
• Teams that have been confirmed a spot in the competition must have ALL players registered by the player registration deadline.
