Wakehurst FC is sad to let our community know of the passing of Pieter “Bob” Verduin.
The proud history of Wakehurst FC has been built by families like the Verduins.
Amongst his many achievements Bob was as our:-
Bob was made a Life Member of Wakehurst FC in 1979 and received an MWFA Meritorious Service Award in 1993.
Bob’s son Fred was the first person to play 500 games for Wakehurst FC and continues to play for us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Fred and his family.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Greenway Chapel, 460 Avoca Drive, Green Point at 10 am Wednesday 3rd of March 2021.
