UPDATE 6th August 2024 – Team Registrations Are Now Closed as All Allocations Have Been Filled.

Wakehurst FC will be running its Summer Football Competition again this year for the 2024/2025 season.

Team registrations will be considered in two phases. See below for further details. The competition will commence on Tuesday 15th October 2024 and play until Tuesday 17th December 2024. We will then have a break for the school holidays, resuming on Tuesday 4th February and play until Tuesday 18th March 2025.

The Registration Fee (which includes shirt, shorts, and socks) remains the same as last season and will be:

$195 – Juniors

$215 – Seniors

You can apply for your Active Kids Voucher #2 from the 15th July at Active Kids Voucher.

We welcome all players from U6 to O45, boys and girls, men and women.

All games will be played at Lionel Watts on Tuesday afternoons/evenings.

The game format is 6-a-side with approx. 16 minute halves for all age groups.

In order to provide a priority window for current Wakehurst FC players and those players who participated in our most recent Summer Competition, consideration of team registrations will be made in two phases.

Phase 1

For eligibility in this phase each team must have a minimum of seven (7) players, five (5) of whom must either have played in last season’s Summer competition or be currently playing in this season’s Winter competition for Wakehurst FC.

To submit your registration, you must:

  • Complete the 2024 Team Registration Form
  • List a minimum of seven (7) players on your team list (meeting the Phase 1 eligibility criteria above).
  • Submit your form via email by Sunday 28th July

At this point, the Committee will determine if we have reached the maximum number of teams that we are able to accommodate, based on the field allocations we receive from the Northern Beaches Council.

Phase 2

If we have not reached the maximum number of teams, we will then consider Team Registrations from anyone who was not eligible for Phase 1.

To submit your registration, you must:

  • Complete the 2024 Team Registration Form
  • List a minimum of seven (7) players on your team list.
  • Submit your form via email by Sunday 11th August

Important things to note:

  • Submitting your team list does not guarantee a place in the competition. You will receive an E-mail confirmation once this has been determined.
  • If a particular age group is over-subscribed in Phase 1 or subsequently in Phase 2, you may be informed that we have been unable to offer your team a place in the competition.
  • If we do not receive adequate team numbers for a particular age group after Phase 2, you may be informed that we have been unable to offer your team a place in the competition.
  • The competition draw is a dynamic one (generated each week) with the sole aim of having as many similar ability teams playing each other as possible. This means we don’t necessarily have a certain number of teams per age group, and a combination of similar ability teams will determine when we reach team capacity.
  • Wakehurst FC Summer Football does not put teams together. We rely on teams to put themselves together. If an individual is looking to join a team, we will publish on our website an anonymous list of players by age group seeking teams. If team managers are looking for additional players, we will share the contact details with the relevant parties.
  • We use the Team Registration Form to custom order the playing kit for each individual player so please ensure it is completed accurately, as we are unable to change sizes once your order is submitted.
  • Player registrations will open mid-August.
  • Each team must have ALL players registered by 31st August. In the event we have reached our maximum number of teams, any team that fails to have players registered by the due date may be withdrawn from the competition and their place offered to a team on the waitlist.

As we did last year, we will rely on Team Managers to put their teams together. Team managers need to download and complete the 2024 Team Registration Form and then email it to summerfootball@wakehurstfc.com.au by the dates listed above.
